Anderson Tanoto is an RGE director, a member of the executive committee of Asia Pacific Resources International Limited (APRIL), and a member of the board of trustees of the Tanoto Foundation. At the foundation, Tanoto drives various initiatives focused on leadership development. He also is closely involved in APRIL’s fiber operations and business transformation activities, providing strategic direction on the various sustainability and conservation initiatives undertaken by APRIL, which include the Riau Ecosystem Restoration program and the Fire Free Village Program. In May 2018, Tanoto was appointed chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Brazil committee and also is its representative to Canada. An emerging business leader, Tanoto has held memberships in the Tropical Forest Alliance 2020’s Southeast Asia regional committee, Wharton's Executive Board for Asia, and the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Forests.
