Walter Kalmans W89 is President of Lontra Ventures, a management consulting firm he founded to serve healthcare and life science clients. Before starting Lontra Ventures, he was Vice President of Business Development for Oncology Therapeutics Network (OTN), a subsidiary of Bristol-Myers Squibb that went private and was acquired by McKesson Corporation in late 2007. Prior to joining OTN, he held senior commercial positions with Vignette, a software company, and Becton Dickinson & Company. Earlier in his career, he was a management consultant for several top firms, including Quintiles, Booz & Company and Accenture. Kalmans earned a B.S. in Finance from the Wharton School and a B.A. in Molecular Biology from Penn’s College of Arts & Sciences. He received his MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, where he graduated a J.B. Fuqua Scholar.
