More than 160 alumni from the Wharton MBA for Executives program came to campus on Oct. 20, 2012. They chose one of three concurrent Lifelong Learning workshops to attend. Maurice Schweitzer, the Cecilia Yen Koo Professor, taught “Negotiating Negotiation.” David Hsu, the Richard A. Sapp Associate Professor, led a session about early-stage angel and venture capital investing.

And Dave Heckman Jr., the practice leader of Senior Management Programs with Wharton Executive Education, led the “Confidential CEO Council.”

A CEO panel discussion occurred earlier in the day, featuring Roger Crandall, WG’02, CEO of MassMutual; Bill Stemper, WG’87, president of Comcast Business Services; and S.R. Kim, WG’87, Deutsche Bank Group’s chairman and chief country officer for Korea and a member of its Asia-Pacific Executive Committee.

Along with the pre-eminent Wharton Lifelong Learning programs, the Wharton MBA for Executives Reunion of course also offered alumni a chance to reconnect.

“It is powerful that, 10 years after we graduated, almost half our graduating class was back in Philadelphia to reconnect. It was not surprising that many of us have achieved success after [Wharton], but more so that many have succeeded in paths different from those they took 10 years ago,” observed Rahul Sondhi, WG’02, after his return to campus.

The day ended with a cultural (and fun) experience: Alumni celebrated their time together with a dinner and a tour at the new home of the Barnes Foundation on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
